Welcome to the Greater Buffalo Food Allergy Alliance (GBFAA).
Our mission is to share information, tips, and experiences to ease the challenges of living with food allergies as well as to raise awareness in the community through outreach programs and presentations.
We do this by:
• providing practical coping tips, recipes, networking, resources, and information for families with food allergies
• helping schools, daycare centers, preschools, camps, and other groups prepare for children with food allergies. Presentations are provided for a nominal donation.
• raising community awareness about the severity of life-threatening (anaphylactic) food allergies
• supporting FARE and other national organizations in funding research on food allergies.
Regular meetings take place on either the 2nd or 3rd Monday of January, March, May, July, September and November from 7:00 pm until 8:45 pm. Meetings include a discussion around a relevant food allergy related topic as well as support discussion. We encourage you to attend our meetings on a regular basis as there is always something new to learn. We also will have local allergists or other speakers present at some of our meetings to educate and support our members. Our meetings are currently taking place at Orchard Park Library located at 4570 South Buffalo Street in Orchard Park, NY. We are open to evaluating other meeting locations-- please contact us with your suggestions!
